We cannot fully claim that traditional photography is different from modern photography, since both methods use the same laws and techniques. Lighting should be the focus of the lens towards the subject, maintaining the form and pattern of the images, etc. at its optimum exposure and angle. Three basic knowledge issues are to be implemented in photography and these are: white balance, resolution, and digital effect.
White balance is essentially the difference in the lighting temperatures which will either make the colors appear warmer or colder in hue and saturation. Warmer temperatures in contrast to the white balance will most likely produce a reddish or sepia-like appearance in the images. Although the images would most prefer to end up appearing greenish or bluish in color, at colder temperatures. In traditional photography, angle and the presence of light matters. If you want to achieve a particular effect in the image, there’s a particular angle, light and dark exposure and hue and saturation. But in modern photography, in all modern photography tools there is what we call auto balance or auto mode which is the best choice for anyone who is just starting to take photography.
At the other hand the resolution covers the photo’s image and meaning. It is measured by dots per inch and the quality depends on how high and low the measurement is. If there are fewer dots per inch, it has a low-quality resolution while high-quality resolution has more dots per inch present. Why does this matter? This matter because if you want to have a clear and fine image in which you can zoom in to see more of the image details, then you should choose a high resolution for such images. In gadgets, the resolution of the image depends on how high the mega-pixel of your camera is. The higher the mega-pixel resolution of the camera the better and clearer your captured images will be. If you are just trying to take pictures for web purposes then it will be appropriate to have a low megapixel resolution camera, but if you want to capture photographs to be reproduced on large images such as tarpaulins and posters then you would certainly need high resolution cameras.
Digital effects are the least to prioritize in capturing images but it adds a certain beauty to the photograph. Digital effects could be removing of red eyes due to the presence of flash when the picture was taken, or taking the image in landscape or portrait or in a scenery. But digital effects are further expanded by sending the images to the computer and editing it using photo editing software. Photography is not a talent, rather it is a skill that needs to be honed. Capturing pictures from time to time would help you improve your skills.
